COMMUNITY GARDENS + ENGAGEMENT

Connection takes root here.

At Dwelling Place, we believe community isn’t just something that happens—it’s something we grow. From shared gardens to neighborhood pop-up events, we’re creating space for people to come together, feel seen, and build something lasting.

More than food—it’s connection.

Community Gardens Program

Our Community Gardens Program gives residents the tools, support, and space to grow their own food while building relationships along the way. From raised beds and workshops to harvest celebrations, every garden is shaped by the neighbors who tend it.

Led by our Community Garden Coordinator and supported by volunteers, this program turns shared space into something nourishing—for bodies and for community.

Bringing the neighborhood together

Throughout the year, our Community Engagement team pops up at Dwelling Place properties with events designed to spark connection. We bring the refreshments, conversation starters, and creative activities—residents bring the magic.

Whether it’s a porch party, storytelling session, or mural day, each gathering makes space for joy, voice, and shared ownership of community life.
